Re “The man who will never be mayor struggles to be premier” (Apr. 2026) 

This is a strong editorial but I must make one correction. 

You suggest that land should not be removed from the Greenbelt because it doesn’t have “basic infrastructure” such as sewers and drinking water. But the Greenbelt should be protected not because it’s unsuitable for home-building. It should be protected because nature possesses intrinsic worth. 

The Humber River valley, for instance, has dignity and beauty—you must visit it this spring!—quite apart from what it can do for humans.
