Plan could allow homeowners to build additional housing in rear yard

University-Rosedale’s newly-elected representatives plan to tackle their sprawling ward using a bottom-up approach. Some of the issues they’ll have to tackle include how to approach the recent handgun violence in Toronto, the affordable housing crises, and how the legalization of marijuana will affect public schools.
Seven candidates are running for trustee in the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Ward 9: Norm Di Pasquale, Iola Fortino, Alfredo Garcia, Denise Gracias, Angelo Harrison, Marnie MacCallum, and Sandra Weber. Ward 9 includes city wards 10, 11, 12, and 13.

A concrete school yard at Monsignor Fraser College is set to be redeveloped into a park that will be shared by the school and community under a 21-year joint use agreement between the City of Toronto and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB).
