Mural maestro Joseph Sagaj strikes the Annex community again with the powerful blow of his allegorical art. The mural, with all its vibrancy, sits atop the eroding steps of Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church and Centre for Faith, Justice and the Arts.
If you happened to be at the Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre for Faith, Justice and the Arts this past Sunday, Oct. 6, you would have found the pews full of people replaced with a gaggle of pointy eared, furry friends, there for the annual Blessing of the Animals.

Nine months into the global pandemic, religious communities have shifted their pulpits onto digital platforms. With Christmas coming, churches seem to be taking the social isolation mandates that limit their ability to connect physically with congregants in stride, while enjoying expanded audiences and in some cases, even surprisingly intimate connections.

All seven of the registered candidates running for election in University-Rosedale have been invited to participate in an all candidates meeting at Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church (427 Bloor St. W.) on May 23 at 6:30 p.m.
The local residents’ associations and BIAs are sponsoring the event, which will include an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates.
Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church marked Palm Sunday with a special children’s pageant. Written and directed by David Craig, a playwright with the Tarragon Theatre, Children at the Gate celebrates the miracles of every day life by following a group of children who ask a rabbi in ancient Rome to perform miracles.
