Faculty Club building once home to Primrose Club

Blue martinis, operatic voices, and fabulous food marked the University of Toronto Faculty Club’s grand reopening of its historic Wedgwood Ballroom on September 25. Formerly known as the club’s dining room, the space was renovated over the summer and has been renamed for the plaster mouldings that have been hand-painted in white and many shades of blue.

Happiness eludes pursuit

A study from the University of Toronto found that a person pursuing happiness can also feel unhappy. Sam Maglio, assistant professor at the Rotman School of Management, says that he wanted to understand “the head of somebody who wanted to be happier”.

Kristina Reinders, a senior urban designer with the City of Toronto, spoke about the TOcore initiative, focusing on parkland and community spaces.
