I know Mr. Carter ex-wife and she is not the person he portends in his book. Like all women they trust their spouse or their significant other for what they say, but then they go behind your back and do the opposite. Mrs. Carter trusted Mr. Carter and instead of him being there for her he turned his back, so of course she had to do what she needed to do to support their family. Don’t get me wrong I am very happy that Mr. Carter was released and was able to tell his story. But, one thing Mr. Carter forgot to do was to be there for his son. As every women knows their sons needs his father. The mother can only do so much for her son, but she cannot teach her son to become a man. When Mr. Carter left New Jersey he left his family as while. So, his son live his life been Rubin “Hurricane” Carter’s son. That was all people seen, so he never had a chance to have his own identity. His son needed his father, and because his father was not there for him he had to live the life style that everyone thought him and his family had. So he live his life proving to everyone (peers) that they did not need his father, that he was the man of the house, so he had to do what it took to take care of his family. So, now his son is in the system and the system is sentences his son to outrages sentence because who his father is. So, it looks like, if they could not get his father, then we can get the son. I have read documents and reports about Mr. Carter is reaching out to young men in and out of the Jail system to help their cases, but since I have known his family I never heard Mr. Carter tried to contact his son and help with his legal problems or even got to know his grand kids. All his son needs is a father. You can’t teach a boy how to become a man if you are a woman. It’s funny how when you goggle his name they know where his son located at, but I wonder does he know where his son at.
