Discover some of the area’s architectural treasures in the third annual tour of houses and cultural groups organized by the Annex Residents’ Association (ARA). The guided tours will run from noon to 4:30 p.m. on September 23, and explore streets bounded by Bedford and Avenue roads, and Prince Arthur and Bernard avenues.

Brunswick Avenue boutique hotel set to open

Since its original incarnation as a horse stable in 1902 it’s been home to a live theatre, bar, and arcade. But starting next month, 296 Brunswick Ave. will have a new face: boutique hotel.

CHATTER: Dupont Station construction delayed by a year (Summer 2018)

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) recently announced that construction would be delayed one year at Dupont Station due to difficulties with the third-party contractor in charge of the project. Elevators are being installed at the Dupont Street and Spadina Road station, which has led to regular traffic delays at the intersection.

Tragedy results in memorial ride, call for greater safety

Cyclists gathered on June 20 at 6.30 p.m. to honour Dalia Chako with one final ride. Among the mourners at the ghost ride were family and friends of Chako, who was killed by a truck at Bloor and St. George streets on June 12.
