It was fabulous. Got some great berries, reusable food storage bags from a local company, handmade beeswax candles, and the best big, juicy ripe tomatoes I’ve ever had. Just finished a tomato and mayo sandwich that was so delicious it tasted like the main course at Maxim’s or Canoe … or some other fancy place like that. ;)

Will be back again next week – but wish it was open more often!

I wanted to point out that that although there are a few markets that have vendors reselling from the food terminal (and other sources) there are number of farmers’ markets in Toronto that are not “My Markets” and don’t have vendors that are reselling from the food terminal. The main difference is that there are other food vendors using local ingredients to make their artisan food that aren’t farmers (cheese makers, bakers, jam makers, roti makers, etc.) Please do your research before printing a statement like that. Anne Freeman (quoted in the article) could have easily informed you about this.
