McGuinty is keeping our taxes and downloading pharmacy ervice costs we already pay for. It’s not about cheaper drugs for the people – it’s about government saving.

Come on. There’s like 15 pharmacies in a ten minute walk from my place, including 2 shoppers, not counting Snowdon. Maybe that’s part of the problem here?

This is rediculous, older people who need help but don’t have enough money need to have a blister pack, its just ten times easier for them to understand what they are taking it and when they are taking it. These services that are already offered by local pharmacies should remain free, like deliveries–some people cannot make it out of the house or down the stairs so they need this in order to get their medication.

It’s an unfortunate situation for pharmacists especially independents. But you can’t blame Ontario–it doesn’t want to be the sucker paying higher prices than anybody else for generics.

The problem pharmacists are facing is Darwinian. Same as other stores face when Wal-Mart moves into town. Either shape up or ship out. Pharmacists need to take bold action to survive.
